Machu Picchu Hotels

Machu Picchu Hotel : Inkaterra Pueblo Hotel 5*

For a Machu Picchu hotel full of character and added extras, we love the Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel.

Inspired by nature, this hotel is set amongst local cloud forest full of orchids and is so much more than just a hotel. The Pueblo is modeled on an Andean village with individual adobe cottages but inside is all comfort.  This is a 5* hotel that manages to maintain a cozy feel and rustic style.

Rooms are decorated with local crafts and the spa is a great place to try out some Andean, as well as standard, treatments. This is a special place where you can see a dedication to the local environment all around you. There’s even a Spectacled Bear sanctuary.

We like this hotel because it´s the perfect place to unwind after a full day at Machu Picchu, or lose yourself in nature in its extensive grounds.

Colca Canyon Hotels

Colca Canyon Hotel : Colca Lodge 4*

Colca Lodge is a beautiful Colca Canyon Hotel in a stunning setting on the edge of possibly the deepest canyon in the world. The rooms are built around the gardens and courtyards of the hotel in a rustic style with thatched roofs and adobe walls; keeping you cozy and warm inside. Sit on your own outside terrace and enjoy the views of the Andes.

What makes a stay at the Colca Lodge, though, are the private hot springs located within the hotel grounds. Taking a bath in the light from the stars is simply a magical experience.  The sense of tranquility and harmony provided by the relaxing effect of the lithium, the landscape and the never-ending murmuring of the river completes an experience not to be forgotten.

The hot baths at Colca Lodge are located down by the river among natural surroundings. The three pools are built of stone and fed by a natural spring. The hotel also has a complete hot-spring Eco-spa offering a variety of massages, facial treatments, applications, and Jacuzzi and steam room.

Hotels Sacred Valley

Sacred Valley Hotel: Aranwa 5*

Aranwa is one of the newest and arguably the best of this new breed of high-end Sacred Valley hotel located in the Sacred Valley.   Here, in the beautiful mountain valley between Cusco and Machu Picchu, a 17th Century hacienda has been remodeled into one of the most beautiful hotels in Peru.

Rooms are spread around extensive gardens filled with peacocks, llamas and humming birds.  The hotel has restored the original chapel on the property and many of the buildings are original colonial structures.  There is quite a range of different rooms: from the 27 Colonial Rooms located on ground or first floors, to Lake and River suites with apartments on two levels.  The three Lake Suites are located on their own isands in the hotel lake.

The hotels has its own gallery, orchid garden, and large Wellness Spa with some interesting Andean - inspired treatments.

Aranwa Sacred Valley is located up a dirt road with little else nearby.  It is a wonderful place for a peaceful retreat.  You need transport to get anywhere else - but then why would you want to?
