We pick you up in a private car and take you to your city center hotel. After time to freshen up, we take you on a tour of the cultural and historical highlights of Buenos Aires – private or in a small group, accompanied as always by a professional, English-speaking guide. But a local, of course!
You have the morning at leisure to explore Buenos Aires on your own, or we can add-on a tour, before we take you to the airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls.
Visit the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls National Park to walk the trails above and along the falls. Flowers, tropical plants, butterflies and exotic birds add to the splendor of this close encounter with Iguassu. If you dare, walk out onto a catwalk that extends 1,200 yards over the tropical basin of Devil’s Gorge Waterfall.
Visit the Brazil side of the Iguazu Falls National Park and its incredible panoramic views. You can still get very close the Falls and the boat ride up to them is even better on this side!
Today we bring you to the airport for your short flight to the colonial city of Salta. This city is fast gaining a reputation as a great destination with its laid back pace, leafy plazas and traditional foods. Their empanadas are a must try! A don’t forget their museum – exhibiting one of the most unique findings in the world.
Leave Salta and travel through the Calchaquies Valley. Here the lush green farmland is backed by dramatic pink and red hills; often compared to Southwest USA. We continue to the Cafayate area for wine tastings at some of Cafayate´s best vineyards. Try Merlots, Cabernets and Chardonnays or simply focus on the local specialty – Torrontes, a hearty, minerally white wine, lesser known in other countries, and well paired with empanadas!
Today you can chose from a few options: head back out to the wineries of Cafayate, head north and visit the Hill of the Seven Colors in the Humahuaca Gorge or take the Train to the Clouds (April to November). This very full day trip takes you through 270 miles of the most impressive landscapes in the region, to heights of almost 14,000 feet. A must for train buffs!
Today we take you to the airport for your flights to Mendoza, the heart of Argentine wine country and the world-famous Malbecs. This region is the sixth largest producer of grapes and accounts for 70% of the country´s wine production.
Round-off this trip and reward yourself with a full day of wine tours, visiting three different wineries in the area, including snacks, lunch and walking around the vineyards. The views and time in the countryside is just as satisfying as the wine itself! As in Salta, this can be done by bicycle as well.
Today you can join a small group for a drive through the striking Mendoza countryside to visit the wineries of the more distant Uco Valley – the heartland of wine country here. Along the way you won’t be able to miss the tallest mountain in all the Americas, Aconcagua, peaking at almost 23,000 feet above sea level!
Today we take you to the airport for your flights to Buenos Aires and onwards to your international flight home … an amazing Argentina adventure!
