Day 2: Buenos Aires / Iguazu Falls

You have the morning at leisure to explore Buenos Aires some more before your flight to Iguazu Falls.

Day 3: Iguazu Falls Tour

Visit the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls National Park to walk the trails above and along the falls. Flowers, tropical plants, butterflies and exotic birds add to the splendor of this close encounter with Iguassu. If you dare, walk out onto a catwalk that extends 1,200 yards over the tropical basin of Devil’s Gorge Waterfall.

Day 4: Iguazu / Salta

You have the morning at your leisure perhaps for a second visit to Iguazu Falls, before your short flight to the colonial city of Salta. This city is fast gaining a reputation as a great destination with its laid back pace, leafy plazas and traditional foods. Stay in Salta overnight.

Day 5: Cafayete Wine Tour

Leave Salta and travel throught the Calchaquies Valley. Here the lush green farmland is backed by dramatic pink and red hills; often compared to Southwest USA. We contine to the Cafayete area for wine tastings at some of Cafayete´s best vineyards. Try Merlots, Cabernets and Chardonnays or simply focus on the local specialty – Torrontes, a light, sweet white wine, sometimes referred to as Reisling´s smaller, lighter cousin. Return to Slata for the night.

Day 6: Wine Tours, Humahuaca Gorge or Train to the Clouds

Today you can chose from a few options: head back out to the wineries of Cafayate, head north and visit the Hill of the Seven Colors in the Humahuaca Gorge or take the Train to the Clouds (April to November). This very full day trip takes you through 270 miles of the most impressive landscapes in the region, to heights of almost 14,000 feet. A must for train buffs!

Day 7: Fly to Mendoza, Wine Tour

Today we take you to the airport for your flights to Mendoza, the heart of Argentine wine country and the world-famous Malbecs. This region is the sixth largest producer of grapes and accounts for 70% of the country´s wine production. After checking-in at your hotel, you will be brought to a winery in the afternoon, to sample some of Argentina´s best reds; the perfect accompaniment to an Argentine steak.

Day 8: Aconcagua Tour

Today you will join a small group for a drive through the striking Mendoza countryside to visit the tallest mountain in all the Americas, Aconcagua, peaking at almost 23,000 feet above sea level! With some time to walk and hike around, you will be looking over into Chile and one of the most beautiful views of the Andes mountains.

Day 9: Full Day Wine Tours

Round-off this trip and reward yourself with a full day of wine tours, visiting three different wineries in the area, including snacks, lunch and walking around the vineyards. As in Salta, this can be done by bicycle as well.

Day 10: Fly to Buenos Aires and Home

Today we take you to the airport for your flights to Buenos Aires and onwards to your international flight home.
